2Ti 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

I realize that I used this text and theme often, but it is the heartbeat of the ministry here and God forbit it should ever fail to be the heartbeat of any ministry anywhere.  This must also be the heartbeat of the Lord Himself for He mentioned it again back in Deut. 6 that the fear of the Lord be taught from one generation to the next “lest thou forget”.  No one would argue that our generation has long ago forgotten the Lord so our ministry here is largely teaching others to teach others to…………….

Our remote mountain ministries are really gaining steam and the folks up there want more, more, more…OK We will give them more.  Last year we offered a crash-course in basic doctrines and church ministry.  We had two very interested students who spent 10 days studying with us and they are now handling much of the ministry in their own village.  You may recall praying for Sylvester and Jimmy.  This was such a success that later this month we have invited 8-10 folk to come for the same course expanding this invitation to another village.  Everyone here is excited at this opportunity and many here will participate.  The good Lord gave us the facilities, transport vehicles, curriculum, teachers ,and translators so we are plunging with vigor into these “others” to teach them to teach others.  Attached is a prayer letter from Alvin and Mae Sumalpong.  This is a very well-done mission report of the work they are doing.  They will be much involved in this crash-course including some from their village of Kalinawan.

Nike and Love are doing very well in their village of Aloran.  They have built a small building where 35+ meet for the above-mentioned activity of teaching others takes place.
